Super Powers

To this date I have discovered that I possess two super powers. The first I discovered at the young age of four, it is the power to jump through glass with minimal injury. I happened across this power one fine day in preschool. In those days we enjoyed daily recess/snack time outside Mrs C's house in the backyard. The back door of the house was a sliding glass door followed by three steps to the patio. Danny, my classmate, was a cool cat. He would jump the steps every time we went outside. I envied Danny. So on this particular fine day, out in the backyard, I returned to the house to use the bathroom. On my way back outside I decided it was high time I jumped those steps. From the bathroom to the back door was a straight shot across the dinning room. I mustered up all the speed I could and jumped. To my utter surprise someone had closed the door and I had just created an new exit through the plate glass. I sailed through the door, easily clearing the steps, and landing in a cacophonous chorus of broken glass. Talk about knocking it up a notch. I didn't cry or sustain any serious cuts. To this day it remains the coolest thing I have ever done.
My second super power is limited psychic abilities. I have suspected this power for some time, but it is in recent months that I am coming to a realization of its actuality. The first recognizably psychic instance was at the library. I had just checked out a book and as I was on my way out the library my pace flinched as I was about to cross the thieving detectors. I knew the alarm was going to sound. Sure enough the did.
Tonight was another experience. I better preface this story with some facts first: Fact, my grandmother and grandfather collected coins. Fact, all quarters pressed between 1932-1964 were silver. Fact, my grandparents taught be that bit about the quarters. Now the story: so I was in the laundromat with three loads of clothes in three machines. I inserted ten quarters into the first machine and the cycle began. I proceeded to the second machine and inserted about six quarters and as I lifted my hand with three more quarters my thoughts conjured up fleeting impressions of a silver quarter. I looked at the quarters in my hand and there in the middle of the two other quarters was a 1964 silver quarter. I am unable to control my psychic abilities. Thus far the instances have been somewhat similar, halting normal behavior with knowledge of what is about to happen or a heightened sense of what is happening. However, I hope to develop these powers in some sort of super heroic or super villainous fashion depending on the application that is more suiting to this somewhat odd combination of powers, jumping through glass and psychic instincts, that is.
